Where to take a financial-service complaint in Georgia
Record the complaint with the financial institution, track its one-month review, then identify the NBG channel that fits the issue.

If a bank or other financial institution handles a payment or service incorrectly, use the official financial-consumer route. The National Bank of Georgia describes a claim process with the institution and also publishes ways to contact its Consumer Rights Protection Division. A separate NBG Dispute Resolution Commission covers certain payment-service disputes. These channels have different scopes, so name the issue before choosing where to send it.
Put the complaint on the institution's record
The NBG lists branch forms, email, hotline, social networks, internet or mobile banking and website claims as possible institution channels. Confirm which channel the institution currently accepts. Describe the issue and date, then keep a copy and any reference number. Do not include passwords or full card credentials.
The NBG says the financial institution must examine a submitted claim within one month and report the result in the form used to file it, unless you agree on another response format. Keep the reply with the original claim. If the organization requests more information, record what it requests and when you supplied it. The published page sets a review period; it does not promise a particular outcome.
Contact the NBG Consumer Rights Protection Division
The NBG also lists a separate route to its Consumer Rights Protection Division. Open the linked profile for current contact details.
Check the Commission for a payment-transaction dispute
The NBG's Dispute Resolution Commission considers payment-service disputes about matters such as an unauthorized card or online-banking transaction, a payment deadline, an incorrectly executed payment, or a wrongly deducted transaction fee. The Commission's page says a case takes up to 90 calendar days, with an extension of up to 30 more days for complexity, and that proceedings are free. Check its current scope and complaint instructions before submitting; the Commission is not a general route for every disagreement about a financial product.
- State whether the problem concerns a payment operation, a fee, account service or another financial product.
- Keep the complaint, transaction record, institution response and relevant dates in one file.
- Use the financial institution's confirmed claim channel and note when it receives your submission.
- For a payment-service dispute, compare the issue with the Commission's listed remit and current filing requirements.
- Use the linked NBG profile for its current consumer-support details.
Keep the reply with the original filing so the claim timeline stays clear.
