GWP publishes supply-interruption notices separately from planned works. Its public lookup asks for a date and address, and the company says the result applies when GWP itself restricts supply. Read a notice as an address-and-time record, not as a citywide statement.

Start with the notice date and district

The date in a heading tells you which notice you opened. It is not automatically the date or full period of the interruption. In the body, find the district and the reason for the work or network fault, then locate the stated start and expected restoration times. A historical GWP example headed 11 March 2025 described an interruption from 22:00 on 10 March to 11:00 on 11 March.

Compare the whole address

Check the street name and house-number range against your exact address. Notices may list odd and even numbers separately, a complete street, a junction or a village. A district match alone is too broad. If a notice names a nearby network location, treat it as the cause location; the affected customer addresses are listed separately in the notice.

Separate the first estimate from an update

Look for a later notice or a line saying the restoration time has changed. A GWP notice dated 31 May 2025 stated that a restoration time had been postponed to 13:00. That is an example of an update field, not a current outage. Keep the date attached to an old notice and do not reuse its time as today’s estimate.

Use the lookup within its stated scope

  • Choose the date that belongs to the notice you are checking, then enter the address rather than searching only by district.
  • Read the listed interruption period and any revised restoration time as separate details.
  • GWP says the lookup covers interruptions initiated by GWP. An empty result is not proof that no building-level problem exists or that GWP manages the issue.
  • Do not treat a 2025 archive entry as a current water-status report.
