A longer stay can raise separate questions about entry, residence, address registration, work and tax. One answer does not resolve the others. Start with the agency responsible for the subject, check that the page applies to your status and purpose, and ask the agency or a qualified adviser when your circumstances do not fit the published example.

Entry and visa questions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Geoconsul page is an official starting point for visa information. During this check it displayed a test-mode notice, and the page view did not expose the full visa flow. Treat online results as potentially incomplete and confirm your entry question through a current official MFA or consular channel before relying on them. Recheck the source close to travel because information systems and procedures change.

Residence questions

The State Services Development Agency publishes information by residence-permit category, including application details and service terms. Its page says eligibility depends on meeting the requirements for the relevant category. Use the category page to identify the documents and current procedure, then ask the Agency about any fact specific to your case. An online article cannot determine your eligibility or deadline.

Address registration questions

The Agency has a separate address-registration page. It describes requirements for Georgian citizens and aliens residing in Georgia, including residence-permit holders, and lists documents that may establish a residential address. The scope matters: this page does not say that every short-term visitor needs to register. If an application or rental arrangement raises the question, confirm which category applies and whether the owner or another person must provide supporting information.

Tax and customs questions

The Revenue Service site lists taxpayer registers, calculators, application forms and other electronic services. Use it to find the relevant official service and contact point. A calculator or register is a tool, not an individual determination of tax residence, filing duties or a business structure. For a decision with financial consequences, give a qualified adviser the facts and documents for your own situation.

Work questions need their own check

The Ministry's visa-information page notes that labour-migration amendments took effect on 1 March 2026 and points readers to the competent State Employment Support Agency. Treat this as a signal to check current official employment information, not as a summary of what permission you need. Remote work, self-employment, local employment and residence can raise different questions. Do not rely on a coworking membership, a client relationship or an entry status as proof of work authorization.
