Bolnisi: museum galleries and town heritage
Use the museum for regional archaeology and writing, then decide whether the town's historic places merit a separate outdoor stop.

Bolnisi offers two distinct ways to explore local history. The museum is an indoor collection visit in town. The heritage sources cover both the former German settlement in Bolnisi town and monuments scattered across the municipality, so plan those outdoor visits separately. Confirm current access and destination details for each stop.
Start indoors for archaeology and writing
Georgia Travel's museum profile describes Bronze Age material in one hall, then inscriptions, liturgical books and a medieval tombstone in another. Its profile also names editions of Georgian literary works. The National Museum describes the building as having permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, alongside research and public facilities. Treat these pages as collection context, not a guarantee that a particular object or temporary show is on view today.
Add the town for buildings and monuments
The tourism authority's Bolnisi page describes the town's German-settlement history and names the fifth-century Bolnisi Sioni Church, Akaurti Church and Tsugrughasheni Temple among regional heritage sites. These are separate places from the museum's galleries. The source names them, but does not establish present entry arrangements, walking distances or a joined route.
Match the stop to your time and interest
A focused indoor visit
Use the museum's official visitor page for current hours, admission and exhibition information. The address published by the National Museum is 48a David Aghmashenebeli Street.
Museum plus town heritage
Keep the church or settlement visit as a separate outdoor stop. Confirm the destination, entry conditions and route before you set out; the sources here do not provide current access details.
Bolnisi Museum
Bolnisi Museum is a Georgian National Museum venue in Bolnisi with permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, research facilities, a media library and public spaces.
Do not merge museum and municipality listings
Bolnisi Museum is a Georgian National Museum institution. The older local-history collection and the modern museum are described separately in tourism material. For an object-specific question or a temporary exhibition, contact the National Museum directly instead of assuming every historic collection remains on display.
