Tsalka is the administrative center of a wider municipality. The municipal history page places the town at 1,460 metres beside the Tsalka Reservoir and Khrami River. Historic Tsalka lies beneath the reservoir. This distinction helps residents find present-day town offices and plan a separate waterside visit.

The municipal history page gives Edzani and Barmaksiz as former names for Tsalka, with Barmaksiz used until 1932. Older records use those names, so match the present municipal listing before searching for a town address. The page also dates city status to 1984.

Use the municipal directory for a town institution

The municipal legal-entity directory lists a water-supply and amenities service at Aristotle Street 17, a cultural center at M. Kostava Street 55, and a Public Health Center at E. Takaishvili Street 4. The directory also lists a municipal auto service at Aristotle Street 22. The entries identify public organizations and street addresses, without opening hours or service eligibility. Use Georgian institutional names to find the matching municipal page or ask locally.

Resolve the library address before travelling

Two official municipal pages give different street numbers for the main library. The legal-entity directory lists 25 March Street 58, while the separate library page lists 25 March Street 25 and publishes an email and phone. Neither page explains the difference. Treat the address as unresolved and confirm the current location before making a trip specifically for library access.

Keep the reservoir visit separate from town errands

Tsalka's city history page says the reservoir covered historic Tsalka. The current municipal directory is for town offices; a reservoir-side outing needs a separate visitor source. The pages reviewed here provide no current shoreline facilities, access rules or water-activity information.

  • For a municipal office, start with the current entity directory and match the Georgian organization name.
  • For the main library, resolve the address discrepancy before visiting.
  • For the reservoir or surrounding settlements, plan a separate destination; the town directory does not give local transport or access details.
