Tbilisi City Hall’s art-school directory lists 33 municipal art schools and programmes spanning piano, orchestra, singing, folk instruments, theatre, choreography, visual and applied art, and more. The Georgian-language page gives school names and addresses. Use the directory to find local options. Current admission dates, class schedules, fees and seat availability are absent from the page.

Start with the subject and teaching format

Choose a discipline before searching by school number. For music, decide whether the student is looking for an instrument, voice, ensemble or theory. For performing arts, distinguish theatre, dance and folk traditions. For visual work, check whether the school lists fine art or applied art. The City Hall list gives disciplines across the network, not a separate subject menu for each school. Use the Georgian school name and ask the school to confirm its current departments.

Use the address to narrow the search

Copy the Georgian school name and street address from the municipal list. Compare the journey from home and the hours a class would require. When a school name or address differs across a map result and a municipal record, contact the school through its official route before planning a visit. Do not assume the school shown in a public list is enrolling now.

Questions to ask before visiting

  • Which subjects and age groups are taking new students now?
  • What are the placement or audition steps, class language, weekly schedule and term dates?
  • Which documents does the school need, and does the school require an in-person application?
  • What are the current tuition and additional costs? Ask for written terms. The city directory does not list fees.

Check the narrow 2026 tuition-support route separately

A separate 2026 City Hall PDF describes art-school tuition support for children under 18 registered in Tbilisi in the unified socially vulnerable families database with a score of 70,000 or lower. The PDF lists a 50 GEL monthly maximum, one art subject and application through the art school. This is a targeted programme, not a general municipal discount or a statement about school tuition.

The PDF is specific to 2026. Ask the city service or the art school whether the programme is still open, which current documents and steps apply, and whether the family meets the stated criteria. This guide does not decide eligibility or collect student information. Families outside the stated group still have the public directory for finding a school and requesting current fees and admission terms.
