An old sofa and a bag of kitchen rubbish do not belong to the same disposal question. Tbilservice Group’s dated notice identifies old furniture and renovation or construction waste as non-household waste. It says not to place these items in or beside household-waste containers. The notice is dated 25 July 2025, so use it to identify the service issue, then confirm today’s instructions with the company before leaving anything outside.

Start with the waste-management service

Tbilservice Group is a Tbilisi municipal company whose published scope includes collection and transport of household waste, and collection and transport of construction waste under individually concluded contracts. Its current contact page lists a dedicated Waste Management Service number, +995 32 2611918, alongside the company hotline, +995 32 2619050. Ask which category applies to the item, what location the crew needs, and whether the service requires an appointment or separate terms.

Describe the item and location

Before calling, note what you need removed, whether it is furniture or renovation debris, how many items there are, and the address where they sit. Explain whether the material is inside a building, in a shared yard or already outside. Do not assume the 2025 notice’s yard-placement description applies to your property or that a crew will collect within a particular window. Confirm where the item may be staged and when the company will collect it.

If the item is construction or inert waste, ask whether the designated facility or an individual contract is the correct channel. The company’s contact page lists a construction-waste area in Gldani, but the page does not establish your current eligibility, fee or drop-off arrangements. Confirm those directly before arranging a vehicle.

Separate a bulky item from ordinary packaging

The 2025 notice treats old furniture and renovation or construction waste as a separate service question. It also gives different handling guidance for cardboard and packaging: fold or cut it before placing it in a household container so it does not overflow. That distinction helps during a move-out. A flattened box is not the same disposal job as a sofa, and rubble should not be described as routine household rubbish. Ask the operator to classify mixed loads before you stage them.

  • Record the category the operator gives you and the exact staging location.
  • Ask for the confirmed collection window and any handling instructions.
  • Keep furniture, construction debris and routine household waste separate until the operator tells you what to do.
  • If the hotline cannot resolve the question, use the Waste Management Service contact on the official company page.
