Anaklia coast: plan the bridge and the beach
Choose a beach-focused visit or a walk between Anaklia and Ganmukhuri, then verify date-specific services before travelling.

Plan Anaklia around one anchor, a shore visit or a walk across the pedestrian bridge to Ganmukhuri. Decide which activity matters before adding other stops, and leave the sequence flexible.
Use the bridge as the link, not the whole plan
Georgia Travel describes Anaklia and Ganmukhuri as coastal destinations joined by a pedestrian bridge over the Enguri River. The Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional tourism page describes the coast as a place with a beach, showers, volleyball courts, a sports and recreation complex, hotels and guesthouses. These descriptions establish the kinds of options associated with the area, but they are not confirmations of what is open on a particular day.
Georgia Travel also identifies Dikha Gudzuba, an archaeological monument excavated near Anaklia, and says finds from the site are held at Zugdidi Museum. This gives a history-focused traveler a second kind of stop to consider alongside the shore. The page does not establish that the archaeological site is open for visits, so check locally before planning around it.
The crossing links the two parts of the outing. You can treat it as an out-and-back walk or as one connection in a longer coastal day. The destination pages do not provide a current access notice, so confirm locally if the bridge is essential to your plan.
Choose a day that fits your priorities
| Plan | What to arrange |
|---|---|
| A beach-focused visit | Make the shore the anchor and choose whether to stay local or walk between the two areas. |
| A bridge walk | Use the connection as the main activity, then choose which part of the coast to explore. |
| A longer coastal stay | The regional page lists hotels and guesthouses. Compare current options directly and ask your accommodation about the route and nearby facilities. |
Verify details that change
- Check the outbound and return route with a current transport operator or official travel source.
- Contact accommodation directly if your plan depends on a nearby facility.
Georgia Travel and the regional tourism page mention electronic music events as part of Anaklia’s history or destination identity. Those general references are not a dated event program. If you find no current organizer announcement for your dates, make the coast itself the reason for travelling rather than assuming an event will take place.
Pair the coast with a Zugdidi cultural visit
