Read the collection by material
The Georgian National Tourism Administration describes Bronze Age agricultural and military instruments, ceramics dated to the first and second centuries BCE, bronze animal figures and Colchian ritual objects. The museum page highlights gold coins associated with Alexander the Great and Justinian. Use these named materials to approach Poti's ancient trade history through artifacts. The same page dates the present museum building to 1908 and the opening of the Colchian Local Lore Museum to 1933. It does not publish current opening hours, admission or a current display list.
