A layered city and museum collection
The Agency describes Tsikhegoji or Archaeopolis as a three-part settlement: lower city, hillside garrison and inner fortress on the plateau. Its visitor page lists defensive walls, palace remains, baths, a reservoir, a river tunnel, churches and excavated artifacts. Check the Agency's current visitor information for access and display details. The Agency dates three defensive wall phases to the fourth, fifth and sixth centuries, and describes excavated objects in the museum collection. The exhibits add material evidence to the architectural remains.
